Hello and Welcome to Coast Restaurant!
"As many of you may have noticed, we have been experiencing some difficulty keeping this website up to date with our menu changes. We do however recognise the importance of having such an easily accessible source of information for all our customers. With this in mind, a brand new Coast restaurant website is on it's way. The address will remain the same but the site itself should be a lot more informative.
Until then, the menus have been updated and will be accurate as of Tuesday the 18th (of March) although they may come under slightly misleading headings. The lunch menu -for instance- is in the 'Traditional' section, and the sandwiches under the heading 'Salads'. Apologies for the confusion."
"It only remains for me to say a big thankyou to all for your on-going support and for making the last 3 years possible."
The Restaurant itself is a spacious 60 seater, more than capable of holding large parties for any occasion with both a lounge and small but well stocked bar. Coupled with the space and modern look, we hope the restaurant offers a warm, friendly atmosphere for every diner.
Our menus offer a wide choice of home-cooked and freshly prepared dishes, be it the Traditional Beef & Ale Pie or the more adventuress Pork Loin Lasagne served with Baby Toffee Apples and Sultana Jus. Vegetarian dishes are available on every menu and our team of highly trained chefs can meet all dietary requirements. Children\'s menus are also available and given just as much attention as our other menus!
We also offer a particularly extensive wine list.
We hope this web site will give you some insight into our restaurant but please feel free to drop us an email with any questions or queries. We will be more than happy to help where we can.
The Team
We are a young team, who prior to this venture have spent many years working in the restaurant trade on the North Norfolk coast, where we have developed high standards in an area where value for money and good dining are vital.
Justin started his training under the watchful eye of his older brother (now also a restaurant owner) at The Hare Gastro pub, Oxford where he worked for three years, starting from the bottom until he became the Head Chef in 1998. After a further twelve months, Justin, looking for a wider range of learning experiences chose to take a step down and apply himself as an agency chef picking and choosing jobs whereby he could develop his culinary knowledge. His next step was to take the position of Head Restaurant Chef at The Wild Pheasant Hotel, North Wales and was awarded his first AA Rosette after just two months. More recently he took the role of Sous Chef at Titchwell Manor, North Norfolk where along with Eric Snaith (Head Chef) they received a Two Rosette AA Award.
Chris like Justin is highly trained and specialised within his field. At just 18 he was the Assistant Manager of the Hoste Arms, Burnham Market, a bustling hotel with over 40 bedrooms and a restaurant seating upwards of 100 covers. This quantity was however, matched with quality with the restaurant maintaining a Two Rosette AA Award. This experience is an excellent addition to our team and visible throughout our well-run restaurant.
